Finding the Right Rehab for Treating Addiction
It is important that you should learn as much as possible about different addiction treatment centers before deciding to join one. First, what type of addiction rehab should you join? You can choose from two main choices – inpatient and outpatient rehabs.
Inpatient addiction treatment refers to residential facilities that provide a more immersive treatment for addiction. The patients at these centers live at the facility for 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, for the length of the treatment. This allows them to focus single-mindedly on the recovery at the exclusion of everything else. Inpatient treatment is considered to be highly effective, as long as the patient stays in the facility for the at least 30 days.
Outpatient treatment facilities are preferred by those who would rather stay at home while going to regular counseling or taking part in various types of therapy at a nearby rehab clinic.
Let’s discuss both inpatient and outpatient rehab in detail.
