Treatment Approaches to Addiction Recovery
Are you looking for the right treatment for your addiction? You should know that addiction treatment should be customized based on your circumstances and unique clinical needs.
Your doctor or therapist will create a comprehensive plan for your recovery, taking into consideration the extent of the addiction and the substance being misused.
What are your options?
Inpatient Treatment – Inpatient programs are considered to be the highest level of treatment for drug or alcohol addiction. These programs provide a 24/7 support and are recommended for serious addictions which impair the individual’s functioning. These programs have a high success rate.
Outpatient Treatment – Outpatient treatment programs are more flexible than inpatient programs as they allow the individual to travel to and from home to the rehab facility every day, so that they can carry on with their family life and work, while getting treated for 2 to 8 hours a day.
Sober Living Homes – Sober living facilities act as a link between the inpatient rehab center and the real world. They are an ideal option for those who have undergone a treatment successfully at a rehab, but need time to develop good habits in a safe environment, before moving to the outside world.

There are a lot of approaches to rehabilitation. I feel a little confused by some of them but variety is a good thing, because you can’t just give a magic solution to all addicts, they have different needs, and maybe if a method doesn’t work, anther one will do. People are unique and need to find the right rehab approach for them.
Addiction therapies are the worse, it is really hard to leave drugs and alcohols of all people I know the most. These rehab center programmes are really helpful, they help you change, these helped me. Good post.
Are 12 step programs always faith based? I think the 12 steps model is becoming less and less relevant in a world where more people are atheists (especially is Europe/America).
I don’t see how religion makes up such an important part of the addiction treatment system. I know of several rehab centre programmes that don’t use the 12 steps at all – this seems to be a more inclusive approach to recovery that is open to people of all faiths/believes!
