Addiction and Mental Health clinics in Thailand are opening their doors after extended closures
As coronavirus restrictions ease, rehab centers in Thailand are starting to resume normal operations and services to health tourists from overseas. It has been a difficult time for all industries but mental health service providers who cater to a western client base have been hit hard over the last 2 years.
It remains to be seen what the fallout will be as it is expected that some clinics may not return to business.
Some rehab clinics have managed to keep their doors open throughout most of the pandemic with a skeleton staff and reduced services, but many employed in the industry within Thailand have lost their jobs.
The future looks bright however. It is expected that business will return quickly as vaccinated travel lanes open up and countries like Australia ease restrictions on their nationals.
